Take A Stand For Our Constitution

So, we lost the vote in the house last night. We knew that the majority would use every trick in the book, dirty or otherwise, to pass this anti-constitutional legislation. We did win a victory on restricting tax dollars for abortion, which I’m grateful for but it was allowed in the end because the bill would not have passed if it remained.

The democrats who voted for this bill and the lone republican will have their reckoning with the electorate next November. I believe the democrats will be devastated in that election.

The way to look at this is that these anti-constitutionalists almost didn’t get their bill passed. We as constitutionalists cannot even for a second consider the thought of giving up or letting someone else take up the cause. There is no one else. We are it. So, buck up and let’s get this show on the road. There are battles to be fought in the weeks to come in the senate. I think we all knew that this was where the real battle would take place.

Here are a few ideas to start with on the actions we can take to win in the senate. And I do mean win. No second place for our cause. We stand for our constitution which guarantees our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Let’s start abolishing this government right here and now by stopping this bill cold in the Senate. First visit your senators office and tell the representative there in no uncertain terms how you feel about this bill and your reasoning behind it. Second write a letter, handwritten if possible, and get it off as quickly as possible. Call and let them know again. If you can’t do any of these then e-mail them.

I know most of you have already done this many times before and I thank you but we’re starting a whole new battle. Take a brief pause maybe to recharge but let’s get back in this fully energized. Think of it this way the house battle was just a warm-up and now we are ready to hit back twice as hard.

Finally we need to contact as many of our friends and aquaintances through all means possible. You can walk through your neighborhoods and talk to your neighbors getting to know them and telling them your concerns about this legislation. Word of mouth, e-mail, blogs, articles, twitter and even snail mail. Contact people you don’t know personally and talk to them. You can influence people. Persuade them to also do the same and we will have an army or an even bigger army of constitutionalists to confront our senators with the truth.

The fate of the next generation of Americans is in our hands. Don’t let them down.

The U.S. Government vs. Freedom & Liberty?

Should I say it or not. Does it appear that our government, instituted among men, is about to strip each individual in this country of their freedom & liberty by taking over (regulating) all aspects of healthcare? By looking to see what the senate is doing this very day my answer would be yes.

Just a short explanation of what is going on concerning healthcare in the senate and what your senator may be asked to vote on soon. There are two healthcare bills in the senate. These will be put together by the senate majority leader. This very large bill will then be added to a TARP bill, that has already passed in the House of Representatives, as an amendment. This TARP bill would be subject to a fillibuster only at the time of being introduced. After that it will require only 51 votes to pass. This is a very covert way of stripping every American of their right to choose what healthcare, if any, they want.

The Declaration of Independence states that the government is to secure the individuals rights not take them away or diminish them in any way. How in the world did the purpose of the government get twisted into actually taking away freedoms & liberties? If anyone has the answer to that one I’d be glad to hear from you on the comment page.

The only recourse we have to retain our rights as individuals is to apply enormous amounts of pressure to your senator and keep on applying pressure until they decide to follow the law of the land; The constitution. If we want all that we have had for our children and our grandchildren we must act and act now. To check out more on what the healthcare bill has in it and if you agree that it shouldn’t see the light of day you can sign a petition to that effect at the American Center For Law & Justice.

Thanks for you help.

Tom
